Lodge Introduces The 2020 Made In America Skillet

By: Lodge Cast Iron / March 11, 2020

Lodge Cast Iron released a Rosie the Riveter Skillet in celebration of International Women’s Day. This design is a nod to the 2020 theme of “An equal world is an enabled world,” highlighting the important role women have played in our country’s rich manufacturing history.

Rosie the Riveter Skillet

For Lodge Cast Iron, the oldest family-owned cast iron cookware manufacturer in America, Rosie the Riveter represents the lasting value women provide in manufacturing jobs.

Rosie the Riveter has long represented a symbol of American feminism and a celebration of women’s economic advancement in our country’s history. It’s no coincidence that the release of this skillet design, as part of Lodge’s Made in America Series™, accompanies the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment—women’s right to vote. The price of the skillet is $19.20, to celebrate this date in history.

“Rosie the Riveter is a perfect choice for a number of reasons. She is a symbol of American manufacturing, which we obviously love, it’s the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment this year, and she resonates with people in a real way,” said Robert Kellermann, product manager at Lodge, in charge of the Made in America Series™.
