The following is use and care for Lodge Wood Underliners from the Sizzleware line. By Following these instructions, you can keep your Wood Underliners in good condition.

Care of Wood Underliners

Clean the wood underliner after each use with a damp cloth.

Dishwasher use is not recommended due to the natural tendencies of wood to absorb moisture, swell and bleach out.

To prevent fires, do not place under hot salamander, broiler or in oven.

Our commercial wood underliners are constructed of ¾” thick cross laminated cold forest hardwoods, computer routed, and finished with water resistant oil and/or lacquer.

The age and growing conditions of cold forest hard wood used for our underliners creates density discrepancies.  Due to the density discrepancies there can be a variation in the absorption of paints and oils used on the exterior finish of each underliner, limiting control of the final color.
