Another great addition to my stable of Lodge cookware. Makes the best BBQ Chicken Pizza in the world (on the gas grill). I'm so happy that I scrapped most of our cookware years ago in favor of cast iron. Great products from an American company.

I love this pan. We call it "Big Sparky". Use it regularly instead of a pizza stone. Get a great brown surface on bottom of crust. BTW, found mine in a kitchen goods store while on vacation in Nashville, and brought it home as carry on luggage. Never had seen where I live (San Diego,CA) before or even since.

Also good for rustic breads.

I love this pan! I have many different Lodge cast irons, and this one is by far my favorite. I actually bought a 2nd one, and with my new convection oven, I am considering a 3rd.

It's great for making pizza, and "Mega-cookie" (a 14" giant cookie).

Our main use is for breakfast. I make fried eggs, and pancakes on it all the time. There's 9 people in our family, so it makes 6 eggs easily on it at once.

It also holds pancakes very well, and is big enough to let you make many different sizes of pancakes.

If anything slightly sticks, just use a touch of butter, or clarified butter. Preheat on medium-low (3 or 4 out of my stove's max of 10) and cooking eggs and pancakes on this temp stops them from burning, because cast iron gets really hot if you turn it, even to medium.for sensitive foods.

Fantastic piece to add to your Lodge cookware collection. I make cookies, pizza and anything frozen that needs to be cooked in the oven. Plus, you don't have to ever worry about it cracking on you like that pampered chef pizza stone.

This is the best pan I've used for cooking tortillas (both flour and corn) and other flatbreads - exceptionally even heat (on an induction range, at least) , no sides to get in the way, very non-stick. If it does as good a job with injera as with these other flatbreads it will go on the gift list for friends and family!
