8" dia., 1-3/4" depth

Foundry seasoned, ready to use upon purchase.
Use on all cooking surfaces, grills and campfires.
Oven safe.
Sauté, sear, fry, bake and stir fry to heart’s content.

Hand wash. Dry immediately.
Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every use.
You may experience some sticking with new cookware so use a little oil when cooking.
Mild soapy water is fine, if you dry and oil immediately.
Lodge seasoned cast iron is right at home on any heat source, except the microwave.

I have a quick question...

Is the 8" pan the perfect size for frying two eggs? I have the feeling that the 6 1/2 inch might be a bit too small.

Anyone?

Handy at home;handy on the go.With the optional cast iron lid I'm sure this skillet will outlast this hobo.

This was my first foray into cast iron, and I'm chagrinned only that I didn't do it decades ago. After a bit of a learning curve, this has become the ideal cooking pan for small items. I do only low temp cooking, like fish, burgers and pork chops. I settled on olive oil, after a bunch of research and experimentation. The food slides around like greased lightning. Now there's no black residue and just a modicum of maintenance. All I do to clean it is run mild hot water over it and rub with a non-scratch pad with almost no effort. Then dry with a couple paper towels. Then put back on the burner on low heat for 5 minutes to evaporate any residual moisture. Then add about two teaspoons of olive oil and smear it all around to give it a good coating. The next morning I wipe off the excess. That's it. I'm in the zone now. I could NOT BE HAPPIER with this skillet.
