Having purchased this for making pancakes, it is a little disappointing. It appears that the pan is too thin, and doesn't heat evenly. I typically make 6-8 pancakes at a time on my old griddle, so only being able to properly cook 2 at a time on this griddle is ridiculous.

i use it all the time for pancakes if ur having issues with even heat u might be trying to cook on it to soon and not alowing it to heat all the way up. i use my griddle every weekend for sunday breakfast

Great griddle, cooks evenly on my glass top electric stove and even better on my wood cooking stove. The only problem I have, is it is hard to pickup off stove top.

The flat side works great for grilled cheese sandwiches too. I've also found when straddling two different sized electric coils, the large one needs to be dialed down a bit to balance the heat.

I have one of these and picked it up because i want to be able to make grill like steaks in the winter. But i also quickly found out the flat side is just as amazing. I am in complete disagreement about the pancake review above. First if you are truly a cook you know that you have to cook the pancakes over where the burner is. This griddle makes two at the same time and then i have 2 flat round pans as well and i can cook 4 at a time!! I also have gas for my stove and it is like any other cooking.... you must adapt and adjust!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this griddle and it is ALWAYS on the stove. It has a nice lip that catches all the grease or oil.

The grill side works well, but the griddle side has a hard time heating evenly for me. I've stopped making pancakes on it (the reason I bought it in the first place), because only half of a pancake would get cooked at a time. They were either really burnt on one half or undercooked on the other. I'm still going to keep it though and hopefully use it camping.
