Hand wash. Dry immediately.
Rub with a light coat of vegetable oil after every use.
You may experience some sticking with new cookware so use a little oil when cooking.
Mild soapy water is fine, if you dry and oil immediately.
Lodge seasoned cast iron is right at home on any heat source, except the microwave.

The points on the lid make the lid a self-basting lid

The 2 qt is my second Lodge cast iron, and I honestly think it will last me a lifetime. After a few times cooking in cast iron, nothing sticks anymore. I use mine to cook rice in and it never fails.
One question. Why are there raised pointed protrusions on the bottom of the lid ?
