Throwing some fruit and a bit of pound cake on the grill can turn a simple dessert into an indulgent one with very little effort.

Satisfying a sweet tooth doesn’t have to involve double boilers, sifters, and a culinary degree. The flames of a grill turn simple ingredients into indulgent treats. Make sure to have extra spoons ready.

  7. Scoop vanilla ice cream into a dish, top with the grilled pound cake, cover with a skewer or two, and drizzle with the caramel sauce.

Tip: Serve desserts in pre-chilled cast iron skillets or servers to keep scoops from turning into puddles on the patio.
