Lodge Logic Adds Mini Skillet, Lid Foundry Seasoned Cookware Perfect for Restaurant, Home Use SOUTH PITTSBURG, TN –Continuing our 113-year history of producing sustainable cookware, Lodge Cast Iron is introducing a 5-inch skillet and 5-inch cover to our Logic line of foundry seasoned items. The lid also fits the Lodge County Kettle, another example of our emphasis the versatility of America’s Original Cookware. “Throughout our history we have always stretched consumers’ dollars by expanding use of cast iron cookware in the kitchen,” says Lodge Chairman-CEO Bob Kellermann. “Several of our customers in the restaurant market have asked for a miniature skillet with a lid. We’ve had similar requests for a lid to our Country Kettle.” Recent trends in home use presented another opportunity for Lodge. “Home cooks are making smaller entrees, serving side dishes for family meals or when entertaining,” says Kellermann. “The hot and cold retention and classic style of Lodge Cast Iron create great food presentations.” Introduced in 2002, Lodge Logic includes over 100 cast iron items, including skillets, Dutch Ovens, Camp Dutch Ovens, Griddles and Reversible Griddles. Foundry seasoning proved popular with consumer advocacy groups, with Lodge earning Good Housekeeping’s “Good Buy” Award in 2003. Founded by Joseph Lodge in 1896, Lodge is the sole domestic manufacturer of cast iron cookware and is family owned, with two great grandsons directing the operation.
