Once these pans are seasoned, there is no better cookware in my opinion. And the bonus is the non stick the natural oils you use on the pans, not some Teflon or whatever else they use on modern day non stick pans.

This has been our go-to skillet for a number of years now and has never let us down. The fact that you can pick one up for only $25 is icing on the cake. A no-brainer if I ever saw one.

This skillet lives on top of my stove. It cooked pancakes for breakfast this morning and is currently simmering a jambalaya for lunch. No plans for dinner yet, but I'm sure this skillet will have something to do with it.

I feed 2 adults and 2 kids (age under 3) every day with it. It scrambles a dozen eggs, fries 8. I don't remember when I got it, and it doesn't matter. My grandkids will hopefully make pancakes in it long after I'm gone.

I season it about once every 2-3 years with daily use. I am liberal with the oil, but I have NEVER had anything stick. This is my GO-TO pan. Even more useful (see simmering jambalaya) with the lid. (part # L8IC3)

I have two skillets this size, they are amazing. If you follow the instructions they become quite nonstick.

They make the best hamburgers. Better than grilled. Look up a smash burger recipe and give it a go. :)

My housemate had never used a cast iron skillet. Our (probably 30 year-old) stove is cheap and electric and the main burner tilts to one side, which causes uneven heat distribution when preparing food in a lighter-weight skillet. The Lodge cast iron frying pan will heat evenly in spite of the substandard stove because (1) it weighs the burner down and (2) then distributes the heat evenly.

I brought the 10-inch Lodge home and now he will use nothing else. LODGE CAST IRON SKILLETS ROCK.

Also: Cleaning is a breeze -- wipes up easily.

PS: Props to the Lodge site Devs -- awesome job.

I have two of these. One at home, and one at my parents place. It's *THE* weapon of choice for cooking and baking!

I was looking to replace my now non-stick griddle & remembered cooking with my mom's cast iron skillet. I bought your 10 1/4 skillet and just love it. It is now seasoned perfectly and is great for everything I cook, especially eggs. I really love how it sears & browns, and the evenness of its heat distribution. I decided to write this while I was at your website buying a glass lid for this pan, and adding a 10" square skillet to my collection.

No food tastes better than one cooked in Lodge cast iron products.

Excellent pan. I love mine. Live in AK and I like the rugged, seared-ness of my food. There's something rustic and hearty about cooking with cast-iron. Especially from an old, American family owned company.
