The Original "Green" Skillet


In a world of skillets with new-age coatings and metals from space, it's a wonder anyone can trust a piece of cookware any more. Thank goodness for the folks at Cook's Illustrated magazine, who are known for getting to the bottom of issues with thorough, unbiased research and testing. This great article from their September 2009 issue touts the natural, easy-release properties of Lodge cast iron skillets as well as their great value in relation to the competition. We've been "green" since we opened our doors in 1896.
